Non-Divers

Blue Realm is not just about diving. We also cater for our "dry" visitors - those non-diving members of any group staying at Blue Beach Dive Club, or divers who simply fancy the odd day's rest from diving. Despite the fact that the town grew out of diving, Dahab, together with the surrounding Sinai Desert offers many exciting and relaxing ways to occupy your time.

South Sinai is a region of great beauty and natural splendour. Within easy reach of Dahab are some of the most amazing sights this dramatic country has to offer, like the Coloured Canyon and the oases at Ein Khudra and Feiran. You can choose from a range of day excursions and extended trips into the Sinai by minibus, 4x4 or Bedouin camel, spending nights under the stars, and enjoying the peace, history and stark spectacle of an incredibly colourful and unique land.

A must for anyone who has never been there, is to climb to St Catherine's Monastery in the heart of South Sinai, to see the glorious sunrise over the mountains. Close by lies historical Mount Sinai.

Naturally, because Dahab is right on the coast, a number of alternative water sports is available for enthusiasts or beginners. You can go snorkelling, of course, or enjoy windsurfing, sea kayaking, waterskiing, kite surfing and swimming. In addition, you can enjoy quad biking and, with the co-operation of our colleagues at Blue Beach Hotel, horse riding and yoga. If that sounds like too much effort, why not just rent a bike, and explore the town and surroundings, or take a trip into Sharm El Sheikh to do some shopping. Still too energetic? OK, how about Arabic lessons and a massage, or simply lazing around the swimming pool and enjoying the sunshine?

Dahab is distinctly different. Its history has created a distinctive atmosphere and character that you won't find anywhere else in Egypt, making it the ideal resort, whether you simply want to relax and chill out for a week or two, or enjoy the wealth of opportunities it offers for adventure.
