Liveaboards
If your dream is to explore the most remote areas of the Egyptian Red Sea, there is only one option: a liveaboard holiday. From the comfort of a luxury vessel, designed specifically to stand the rigours of the open sea, you will dive some of the most spectacular sites imaginable. Liveaboard trips, especially in the south, where dramatic walls and currents guarantee the most exciting drift diving, are recommended only for the experienced divers who want to enjoy the thrill of more demanding diving. The rewards are great, of course. These isolated sites are rich in open ocean species, with excellent opportunities to see the really big stuff, including sharks and manta rays.
Blue Realm uses only top class vessels, crews, and guides, ensuring the safest diving on the best sites, in the most comfortable conditions.
North and South
Egypt has two main areas for liveaboard expeditions. Boats leave Sharm El Sheikh to dive the north, while to dive the deep south we sail from Marsa Alam, Hamata or Marsa Galeb.
Costs and Services
The cost of your liveaboard holiday will include return transfers from the airport to your boat, accommodation, meals and soft drinks, plus all your diving, air, tanks and weights. Some vessels offer enriched air (Nitrox) as an optional extra. Equipment is available to hire, if you have chosen to travel light.
For liveaboards, we collect you from your arrival airport, and transfer you straight to the liveaboard vessel. While you are settling in and adjusting to your new environment, the boat is sailing to its first destination, so that you will be on site for your first dive early in the morning. You will have the chance to do a minimum of three dives each day. Manoeuvring overnight means that you will be diving while day boats are making their way to the sites, so you are likely to have the site to yourselves, and experience the best of the diving.
