Khaled
is the kingpin of Blue Realm. Together with his Dutch wife, Sita, he heads a friendly team of multi-lingual diving professionals, committed to giving you the holiday of a lifetime. He is a PADI Staff Instructor who has been diving the Red Sea for many years, teaching and guiding divers from all over the world. His knowledge and experience of all the coastal and deep water sites in the region would be extremely difficult to beat
Sita
manages, despite the demands of her two daughters, Monna and Nadine, to work behind the scenes on administration work. She somehow helps to ensure that things run smoothly in the background, so that the rest of us can get on with the stressful, but unavoidable, business of diving…
John
is in charge of UK marketing, but, as a PADI MSDT, he is unlikely to be out of the water for long. He has dived around the world since 1967, and instructed since 1972, for the SAA, BS-AC and PADI. After 40 years of cold water diving, it is time to realise his long-term dream, and settle in the sun, here in the Sinai. John first dived here - and fell in love with the desert, the people and the Red Sea - in 1981, before the town of Dahab even existed!
Saša
(pronounced Sasha) is a newly qualified Divemaster, who would rather spend most of the day diving (with you, of course). However, because everyone else is already in the water, Saša balances diving with admin tasks, like office work, e-mailing and booking arrangements, at the dive centre, As a native speaker of German and Slovak, she is the one most likely to communicate with our German and Eastern European guests.
Tamer
our friendly counter hand, is usually the first to greet new customers to the dive centre, and is on hand to make sure that advice and information is readily available for diving courses, and daily diving and snorkelling programmes. In addition, he sorts out much of the paperwork for diving and training, and helps with the sizing and fitting of equipment when required. He is a PADI Open Water Diver, currently working for higher diving qualifications.
Mahmoud
our handyman, spends much of his time at Blue Beach Dive Club, making sure that everything, including equipment, is clean and comfortable for the divers, and that you have as little as possible to do, apart from enjoying the diving, of course – that is something you will want to do for yourself. He is an indispensable member of the team, if only because he makes us coffee in the mornings.
Osama
the chief driver, is a Saidi, with an intimate knowledge of the desert and its most beautiful and restful places. If you are to be based at Blue Beach, he probably would be driving your transport to the local shore diving sites, looking after your equipment and helping in every way he can to make your diving as relaxed and stress-free as possible.
Naturally, we pride ourselves that we employ only good instructors for all our Dahab diving, and use only the best dive boats, with the most experienced crews and dive guides, for our day trips and liveaboards. In this way, we can ensure that you always feel safe in the hands of friendly, helpful people, no matter where your journey takes you.
In addition, we have the support of all the staff and facilities of Blue Beach Hotel. As well as providing our main accommodation in Dahab, they boast the most popular bar in town, their new restaurant, a swimming pool and an impressive array of land-based activities for both divers and non-divers, including horse riding, trips to places of natural and historical interest, excursions into the desert with Bedouin guides, yoga, Arabic lessons and massage facilities.
